Pesticide Demand To Exceed $8 Billion In 2008

After years of decline, U.S. demand for pesticide active ingredients is expected to grow 1.3% a year to reach $8.1 billion in 2008, according to the “Pesticides” study by The Freedonia Group, Cleveland, OH. Gains are expected to improve in the agricultural, commercial and consumer segments, especially in the latter for vegetable and flower gardening.
